I support the request of the Weddington citizens who asked the county to consider above ground water tanks as an alternative to a water tower near the intersection of Rea Road and Providence Road. Based on the precedent set with the Twelve-Mile Creek water treatment plant odor problem, I believe the incremental cost of above ground water tanks should be paid by the water system enterprise fund. The cost should not be paid with Weddington tax dollars as suggested by Weddington Mayor Nancy Anderson.
